I have experience working with the aquarium industry (about a year and a half). Maintaining fresh and saltwater sytems, diagnoses and treatment of tropical fish diseases and preventative applications. Management of aquarium systems (freshwater) and in charge of fish and amphibian selection (through wholesale). sales: of equipment, fish, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, etc...
About 2 years of aquaculture experience at enviromental consulting service operation. Cultured fish and inverts, operate systems: water quality, broodstock manipulation, culture artemia and alga, feeding, packing and shipping of organisms, interact with clientele, etc...
Volunteered my time at Virginia Tech's Aquaculture Facility while studying for my degree. Helped many graduate students with projects (mostly filtration research and tilapia and yellow pearch production). Obtained employment with the University working with freshwater endangered mussels and their representative hosts.
I also have a broad knowledge and skills base of fisheries science: management (planning and assesment), techniques, operations, etc...).
